Is it unrealistic to try and get a remote job or hybrid that could work around my daughters school schedule?

Many people (moms and dads) I've worked with block their calendars for a period of time in the afternoon and are unavailable then, as they are picking up kids from school or they do it on certain days per an agreement with the spouse/other parent. In many companies no one would bat an eyelash.

As of 20/20 it's very possible! Sadly not as such the case in the past. Keep seeking, you should be able to find what your need is. However its also important to keep in mind that it may take several months. That's the down-side for sure.

Definitely not. Great jobs and great employers are out there...ones that are willing to be flexible with your life schedule.
