Hello fellow job seekers
I’m an experienced instructional designer looking for a Sr Instructional Designer or L&D Manager role. I have extensive experience managing curriculum and uptraining for various groups, including customer service/call center support, sales, manufacturing/distribution, field technicians, and leadership development. I excel at mentoring and developing others, process improvements, and solving for the right problem. I thoroughly enjoy the learning and development industry. I’ve had several interviews to date, but not really getting beyond a second interview. So I’m working on interview prep and refining my search.
The trick would be to show specifically how these activities would add to a company's bottom line, which you may already be doing(?) If you look through your past activities, how did these benefit a company? See if you can put some numbers to your achievements. You may need to re-write or re-think some of your achievements to "wow" your interviewers -Andy LaCivita's free materials may give you some new ideas.
