Hello Everyone, I've been in my job search for quite some time now and it's been very challenging, to say the least.
I have to say this is the longest that it has taken me to land a position in my entire career. I have 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector. I've working remotely since 2011 and I'm seeking a remote role (with travel as needed) in fundraising (grants administration) either in the nonprofit sector or in higher education (aka research administration).

Thanks so much!

Ditto. I agree...I was at my last company over 20 years and now that I'm in the job market I have experienced a totally different job market than it was 20 years ago. It's taking a large amount of time and effort to find a suitable, new position even with a vast amount of experience without appearing "overqualified". And the salaries are extremely low across the board! These salaries are like those from 15 years ago but the inflation of today is certainly not! I've been so stunned that I need an island vacation from job searching and interviewing!

They have about 90 remote nonprofit jobs listed right now
Thanks Sarah, that site is on my regular rotation (smile).
The economic numbers are not telling the whole picture. Professional, high-paying, white-collar jobs are very hard to find right now.
I’m going through a similar search. With experience, the most effective approach is to identify the company you want to work for and ask someone there if you could meet them virtually to seek some advice about the company. Make it easy for them to help you and don’t ask them for a job. If the conversation goes well you can mention you saw x job and would they be comfortable giving your name to HR so they will have a head’s up when it comes through your system. People almost always say yes as you’re not asking for special consideration, just to get your resume glanced at to get through an HR screen. I would also suggest getting a coach has been helpful to me for reframing my search, my resume and my approach. But do your homework and try to get a recommendation from a real person as there are a lot of not so good coaches out there. Good luck.
I'm not sure if any of these companies/positions align with what you're looking for but I wanted to share a website called 4dayworkweek.io that offers some remote roles.
