Recently, I took a role at a startup after being laid off from a large organization.
I've only been in this role for three months, but my supervisor has been vocal about her dissatisfaction with my work product and frustrated that I need a lot of direction. We talked about this six weeks after my start date, and I asked for better guidance and more regular meetings (currently, we only have one weekly meeting that is often canceled or interrupted).
She called me to check in to help me prioritize for a few days, and then the daily meetings stopped. She pretty much ignores me now, unless she's providing feedback which is always over email, and she never gives me any attaboys, even when I know I did a good job at something. Then, there's either nothing said, or she gives me a piece of criticism.
We spoke two weeks ago, and she told me that a startup isn't for everyone and I should think about that. Additionally, she is also still unhappy with my work. So even if I say I am on board, it feels like I am being managed out.
I can't afford to quit, and I'm not sure how to handle this situation until I find a new job.

Do you have a formal role description? Has she set SMART goals with you (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time bound)? If so, can you set a meeting with her to talk through these in detail together?
Without this, her feedback would be very subjective, right?
you must pivot immediately to looking for a new job. Listen to what’s being said to you repeatedly: you’re not a fit for this role and they don’t want to invest the time to rehabilitate you. I can’t encourage you strongly enough to aggressively start searching for your next job. I know this is difficult to hear but it sounds like you’re paralyzed by this impasse. Best of luck in your next steps.
Ask you a 90 day performance improvement plan. If she won't do so then put yourself on one and send her weekly progress reports against plan to illustrate improvement and your steady contribution.
