I have been trying to find a decent paying, flexible, work from home/remote position for months now. I have probably applied to over 50 jobs since August and have only had 6 interviews to find out they don't pay well or are sales/commission positions. I am sole provider for me and my daughter and need to make at least $20 an hour or more to maintain our finances. Another problem I am running into is that hundreds to thousands of other people are applying to the same positions I am, when I find a good remote one! One job in particular had 995 other applicants. It has been very disheartening and my self-esteem has taken a major blow this year. I am running out of funds and need to find something fast. I have had multiple resume writers/editors go over my resume and everyone assures me that I am qualified for most of the positions I apply for. In fact some of the positions I apply for I feel I am over qualified for but yet still don't hear back from them (a lot of cust. service remote positions). I was an office manager for a small business at my previous position and before that an assistant manager for a multi. location salon/spa. I just don't know what to do, as I can't go back to a regular 9-5 due to my daughters school schedule and the fact that daycare costs about what my mortgage is.
