Recent Graduate: Seeking Green Space Work

Hello, I graduated in May 2023 with a B.A in International Relations. Although I know my degree is semi-relevant I am having trouble finding jobs in a sustainability field that I seem qualified for. I feel stuck in the needing experience paradox and have applied endlessly. Sadly because I paid for college myself I had to have certain jobs that didn't allow me to get an internship or more relevant experience. Any advice or reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.

I also studied international relations. International relations is a broad field so their are numerous categories you can go into. You can try positions at embassies, in government, international development etc Just out of curiosity what is green space work? I am not sure if this job might help: https://jobsin.brussels/jobs/greenpeace-international-engagement-support-manager/ Have you ever considered teaching abroad to gain hands on international experience?

What I meant was that I don't necessarily want to work in International Relations in a political science way. I found it really draining. As for embassies, government, etc. I would be interested in that work but it just seems im unqualified for everything (although I still apply often). Essentially I am looking for something that I can use my passion for sustainability in. I really want to work environmentally. I have a lot of obstacles right now that keep me from taking very low paying non profit jobs so its a struggle. That job looks interesting thank you so much. I have thought about teaching abroad and I hope to look into that (again, certain obstacles).

Yes , international relations can be draining. I left the field for a while and went to teach abroad, it was a truly eye opening experience. Even though you are experiencing some obstacles, maybe just putting in an application to teach abroad will not hurt, you can always change your mind. Here is a reputable link you can use: http://www.epik.go.kr/index.do I wish you the best of luck. Remain hopeful, something that sparks your passion will find you!
