Sometimes a no is really just not now.
A few weeks ago I applied for a position and was immediately rejected. Meaning the ATS software, rejected my resume for what ever reason. As a side note, I only applied to positions I know I'm qualified for as well as what I'm looking for. Then last week I received an email from the same company asking for an introductory interview. I researched the company to prep for the interview and soon realized this was where I wanted to be. The first interview went well and I got a second interview with the manager. I thought that went well too. I haven't heard back (I should know by Friday) but my point is if you received a rejection reply with a thank you and know that a no isn't a no it is not now. Hang in there gals.
So encouraging! Hope it works out!
It’s so comforting to hear that no is not now. I have been through that too...
It can be exhausting and discouraging but you will have small victories and I run with those.
Thank you for sharing. We all need a bit of positive right now!
I love this and will keep this in mind!
UPDATE: I didn't get the job but I made two contacts.
Thank you for the tip, Rebecca. I'll do that next time. Xx
Happy to read this. I applied to a job last week but havent heard anything at all. I wish I had the "no" so I can move on. The suspense is tiring
Did you reach out to them?
It's an automated system so you're not allowed to respond. Coincidentally, I finally got a response this morning. It was a "No". I'll keep trying
Many of the jobs I apply are also automated systems, but I search the website for a number and call anyway. This will prompt them to review your resume sooner, then you get rejected or they call you. It is not only about applying it is the initiative you make after your apply.
Great to hear!
Thanks for sharing this. It's very encouraging!
