Looking for job opportunities
Hello, I recently graduated with my BS and have been looking for a new position. I just don't have any more movement in my job. My problem is I already seem to make more than anything I feel qualified for. I currently work in quality and I am completely lost on why I am not getting callbacks for any jobs. I would appreciate any feedback and can produce my resume. I also thought being a veteran would help but hasn't. I don't want to sound whiny just a little frustrated.
I'd recommend joining Veteran job boards as a job seeker (if you haven't already). Also, align your resume to each job you are applying for. Sometimes we do so much in our roles and can pull better specifics to match what they are looking for. Wishing you luck!
I also have my BS and was in R&D for a couple years. It is harder just because we need a livable wage and companies don't want to offer it for roles such as QA, QC and R&D. I recommend applying yourself for a new skill - coding, programming, analyst or PM. Just so you can have some new skills under your belt :) You got this.
As a recent college graduate, I understand and feel your frustration. I have been applying for multiple "entry level" jobs and they equire 3-5 years of experience, and when ever I do a job interview I feel like the recuriters and managers minize my work experiences and dissmissed the fact that I have a bachlors degree as if it holds no value with out 3- 5 work experience. I don't know how to feel. I have also been getting a lof certificates in tech and I noticed the job industry is very competitive. It's hard but just know you're not alone and to keep applying.
