I daydream a lot about a more traditional career where I can work with other adults and have more normal hours.
I’ve been a teacher for the last 13 years and I want to make a change. I double majored in English Education and History and I don’t know what to do with these degrees in order to pivot my career. When it comes to communication, I think I’m incredibly strong. But I’m not sure how to take my skills and jump to something such as marketing to help my creative outlet scale and grow. Any thoughts? Advice?

Sales is always a great avenue to explore. The industry and perception of the role has changed so much over the past decade and many managers hire based on intangibles, vs previous experience. I'd be happy to offer some advice if that would be helpful!
Marketing is a great career as is Leadership Training. With your teaching skills , training positions might be a good area. Education companies are always looking for teachers, trainers and client engagement skills. Feel free to join the Pivot group.
There's a ton of non profits that would welcome your comms skills. Consider a volunteer role to see if you really like the comms/mktg space and to build your network and portfolio during your transition. Good luck!
You could look for roles in Ed-tech startups and technology company where your experience as a teacher would be invaluable.
Yes! There are so many resources online for you, depending on what industry you want to get into.
Take some online classes! You can do it!
