Long story short, I was laid off after 17 years with a company that I hoped to retire from. This was in April and I allowed myself 3 months to “heal” from this. I took a position in August that I thought was a good fit at the time. After 4 months in the new position, that does not fill my skill set in any way, shape or form, I have come to the conclusion that I need to move on, now and not later. While I will not leave without giving proper notice, my concern/question is - do I note this short employment period on my resume? Any thoughts or suggestions would definitely be appreciated at this time.!
