Hospitality
Who's made it out of the Restaurant/Hospitality business and what do you do now? Any advice on how?
Me! So many of the skills you learn and hone in the restaurant/hospitality space translate well to other industries. Do you have any idea what you're interested in? If you're looking for a place to start, client-facing roles like customer success, account management, and sales are a great way to get your foot in the door at a company. I went from server at a restaurant to account manager/customer success manager and eventually to program manager. Feel free to message me if you have specific questions — I'd be happy to help if I can!
Hi Casey :), Thank you for much for your refreshing comment. I have looked into account management and and assistant buyer rolls. It all seems pretty intimidating at the moment. Would be great to receive some guidance and hope from someone that has gone through it. Looking forward to connecting.
