Hello everyone,
I am hoping to find some guidance and support in my job search.
I hold a master’s degree and have two years of experience as an embedded engineer in Japan. Due to personal reasons, I had to return to India, and since then, finding a job has been incredibly challenging. It has been 1.5 years now, and despite submitting over 500 applications, I am still struggling to secure an opportunity.
I am open to both remote roles and positions in Bangalore. Additionally, I am willing to transition into testing, as I have always found it fascinating. However, I have noticed that even entry-level roles often require three years of experience, making it even harder to break in.
One of the most frustrating aspects is that many LinkedIn recruiters ask candidates to reach out, but responses are rare. I am sharing this post in the hope that it reaches someone who can offer advice, referrals, or any form of help.
Any leads or support would mean a lot. Thank you so much!
Hello Aditi: My suggestion is to try and hang out with people in the field you want to work. Do not ask them for a job directly. Get to know them and show interest. This will help you get familiar with the field. They may refer you to a manager (or be a hiring manager) in the future.
