Hello everyone!

I've spent the last 6 years in finance doing a mix of things including internal training, customer success, and client management. Trough hard work and guidance from others I became a subject matter expert and shared my knowledge and experience with others. I am shifting gears professionally! I'm actively seeking employment in L&D or people manager fields. I love educating and training others, I also strive to make my all of my interactions meaningful. I want to have a positive impact on those around me. I don't have formal training with creating L&D content or particular software or programs in the field so that's my weakest point. I'm an exceptional learner and retain knowledge quickly. When I got hired at Fidelity I knew NOTHING about finance. I ended up being a top leader in my department and business wide. If anyone has any ideas on job titles I should include in my hunt I'd really appreciate it! Best wishes, Anne

Articulate Storyline and Captivate are the two big players in L&D software - they're expensive so I would suggest getting familiar with one rather than trying to do both. I'd also suggest getting familiar with principles of adult education, UDL, and backward design.

I'm not in L&D or Training but I've worked in a few large companies with extensive training/learning teams. Here are some job titles that I remember: -- Learning Specialist -- Training Specialist -- Talent Development Specialists -- Corporate Trainers. I'm sure there are more and I hope others (especially those from HR/Training) can chime in as well. Good luck!
