Imposter syndrome, anxiety and one way video interview

So I landed an interview with one of my target companies and I am so excited. But the interview is different then any other I have ever done. It is a one way video interview format and for some reason, despite all my prep about my work life and accomplishments I find myself crippled with anxiety over this. I have the gift of a long weekend to prepare ( must be done by midnight Sunday). I realised I am struggling deeply with imposter syndrome and also so afraid of blowing my chances due to never having done an interview in this way before. I am putting off practicing for some reason. The questions and specific format are unknown until I begin. Also unknown is if I can redo and what time limits might be. I am overweight and 50 and I am also afraid of being judged as well. But I can look pretty cute when all put together, but I have many unhelpful thoughts and feelings. Any ideas on what to do about the imposter syndrome first, as I think this is the biggest roadblock, so I can move on with practicing and preparing? Thanks all! Happy New Year!

So I got good and psyched up and practiced all day on Saturday. I felt really ready. I dressed in a navy suit as it is a finance role, and did my hair and makeup and felt great. I checked in with my girlfriends posse and they confirmed I looked professional. The one way video format was awful though. So well I was confident in what said my anxiety over the format, fact I had just two minutes to speak on complicated questions and could not fix or redo or well use the story format I had practiced. Just one shot to answer. No human feedback. They have had it since yesterday and I have not heard. I don't think it went great as my anxiety go to the better of me with the format. ?‍♀️

So, how did it go?

First of all, best of luck to you with this interview... You're going to do great. My advice to you is this: They are interviewing you because you have the qualifications they are looking for... so do not allow imposter syndrome to own you. You know what you're doing, you've been doing it for years, and your years of experience are an asset, not a flaw. I am also overweight and over 50, but I find when I get nervous about that, I always feel better when I remind myself that confidence is the most attractive quality. No matter what I look like, I know that if I come off as confident, a good listener, with smart questions and an understanding of the business I'm interviewing with, that's the best I can do, and a company worth working for will recognize that about me. I smile, I am not aggressive with my questions but I do speak up. I ask how this role can help the company achieve their business objectives. I give examples of how I've done that in the past. I tell the interviewer why I want *this* role, and when I thank them at the end, if I am excited by the conversation, I tell them that. Something like, "thank you, this has been great and I'm glad I got to learn more about the role ... it's a role where I would definitely have a lot to contribute." Again, don't let your anxieties get the better of you. You'll do great, just be prepared and friendly! Good luck!
