Updating my resume/LinkedIn
I'm looking for pointers on what I really need to highlight in my resume and on LinkedIn to get more interviews. Any tips for a Salesforce Administrator with one year of hands-on experience?
Focus on your accomplishments and how you helped to boost the companies you worked for (sales, productivity, special projects etc). Think about measurable results. Get referrals and testimonials. Happy to help. Feel free to DM if you want to talk
Also make sure your LinkedIn profile is keyword rich with the industries and areas you are looking to find new opportunities in.
Thank you for the resources! Amy, I'm hoping we both get to showcase our Salesforce talents in new positions soon!
I've found Austin Belcak's work helpful for LinkedIn tips: https://cultivatedculture.com/linkedin-profile-tips/
And Madeline Mann has a series of videos of how to make changes and how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmzVwsGrDkI&list=PL30MQiePH_cNRXHXDKw2Jv3xJUa3-oC8D
As someone who is also looking for a Salesforce Admin role, I'm constantly looking at other people's accounts of people who are a Salesforce Admin. I've also been reaching out to HR/Hiring Managers after I've applied.
Hope this helps!
Hey Marlissa, I'm a Career Alignment Coach who works with woman on taking their corporate careers from stuck to aligned through self-discovery and professional networking, including LinkedIn.
One of the biggest things to remember is that you control the narrative on LinkedIn AKA you tell people what they need to know about you. So first thing to consider is, if your goal is to get in front of more hiring managers/recruiters on LinkedIn, what do they need to know about you? Highlight those things in your LI profile through your experience section and about me section. Also, pack your profile and headline with keywords. They'll search with keywords so having those front and center will be handy. LinkedIn can be a great place to show your skills and personality so don't be afraid to add some personality to your profile. Finally, interacting with others on LinkedIn is a great way to boost the algorithm and have your name and profile appear to people just outside of your network. So I'd encourage you to be as active as you can on the platform!
I'm actually hosting a free 5-Day LinkedIn training in my FB Community this week and would love to have you. You can find the info here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheCorporateHippieHustlers
