My son has been sick a lot lately (he's 2) and I have been missing work because of his illness.

My spouse makes double what I make so when little man is sick, I leave work to care for him. I have plenty of vacation time to cover my missed hours and I have been working from home when needed to complete tasks (sometimes I'm up until midnight!) The last time I had to leave for him, my supervisor's supervisor threatened to write me up for any more absences. They also took away my ability to work from home. My boss is understanding (her kids are teens and she is often out for them) but her boss is not so much (her kids are grown and have families of their own.) Is this discrimination? I'm told that if I ask for a day off in advance, I'll be given a warning and if I leave during business, I'll be written up. I've been here for over a year. I love my job and see coworkers leaving for their kids all the time. Help!
