Welcome and what's next
Hello,
Welcome to the group The best Life:........ !!!! I am excited to see our group continue to grow, am looking forward to getting to know everyone, learn more about your background, why you joined, and what you hope to get out of being part of this group.
I started this group because I enjoy planning for the future and want to learn from others experiences. This helps me become clearer on what I want to do and how to go about doing that.
I'm in my late 50's and have worked in the corporate world for over 30 years which has been very fulfilling. For the past 15 years I have worked for a wonderful company with great people and opportunities to develop into a successful leader.
I plan to retire from full time work in the next 7 years. There are other areas of interest I would like to pursue that may not necessarily generate the income I need now to invest in my retirement. My hope is I can transition to doing more activities that align with my passion, have a more relaxed schedule working 20 hours a week or so, and have more fun each day. In order to make that happen I know there are things that I need to do to setup for success. I gain insights into my future by sharing my story, my dreams and desires, and connecting with other women.
That is what I hope to achieve by connecting with other women and hearing their stories.
Please introduce yourself and share what you hope to gain by being part of our group.

Thank you for creating this group!
I have many years until I retire, but I joined this group so that I can learn how people were able to get to retire. What can I do today, to help me prepare and what are some creative things people do in retirement.
My Granma says you have to retire to something, you don't just retire and sit around.
Hi, I just found this group and I relate so much. I'm officially retired from my federal job, but continued to work in government IT sales. It's taken me a few years to learn the ropes, but now I control my own schedule and since I'm really good at time management, can find time to enjoy life and have fun while working too. I think of this as being semi-retired although I actually have a full-time job. Best of both worlds!
