Got in trouble again- "I'm heading home now"

Are you like me? Do you ever say, "yeah I'm on the way" when really you aren't going to be leaving for another 20 mins? I was catching up with an old coworker when my boyfriend called me and asked me what I was doing, I told him I was chatting but was about to head home. I chatted for another hour. He was upset because he expected me home much sooner. Yes, I could have just as easily said, I am chatting, I will let you know when I head home, instead of giving him an estimated time. But I didn't.

My husband naturally adds on 30-45 minutes when I say "I'm leaving now"

My husband does this its infuriating because we usually have something that needs attention and its not until he's home and the time constraints hit then its a light bulb moment. Also a tad dishonest easier to say hey I got caught up with so and so and will be heading there shortly

I can definitely relate. I'm never on time.

About this group

This is a safe zone first and foremost. Come and vent about your midnight feeding, your boss calling you abrasive, your chicken coming out dry, or whatever else you need to get off your chest. Let's celebrate those first steps, first words, promotions, all of it. This is a virtual village to listen, laugh, cry and support you.

Group rules

No judging! Be kind. If you don't have anything nice to say.... Don't say anything at all.
