Hi all,
I recently resigned after 19 years in Media, and while the plan was always to take a break before diving headfirst into teaching - I am getting antsy. And I am questioning teaching in a traditional setting. Instead, I am thinking I want to do something in Learning & Development and remain in the corporate world. I have a lot of experience training and standing up teams, but as I apply I realize it may be harder to convince Hiring Managers that I can make this transition, or even to just get my resume in front of them. Any advice about this field? Or resources to share? I'm addicted to learning and taking classes as well, so I if there's anything along those lines I can do I'd be excited to look into it. And another idea that has been on my mind is to somehow begin copy writing. So any ideas there would help, as well. Thanks in advance for any insight!
Colleen

Hi Colleen,
I'm working for a career start-up that helps with this exact thing! You can arrange a strategy call with the founder, it's 100% free and they help you to figure out which career might be your best fit and how to achieve the switch!
You can schedule the free call here:https://calendly.com/elissa-arcvida/career-strategy-session?month=2021-06
Hi Colleen! I was in product management and wanted to shift to Learning & Development too! It's great you love learning and have some training experience. I'd recommend you to start sharing about your experiences in training/ create a blog / linkedin posts about your interest or pick topics on L&D most closely aligned with your corporate experience. It is better and easier to find projects and move internally rather than externally and referrals may help if they can vouch for your experience.
