Resume Over Coffee

Career Changer

As a career wonderer, my resume looks like I cannot make up my mind. To me, I see a constant thread of an educator, innovator, and builder of values. To others, I hop. How do I demonstrate professional strength with a resume like mine?

A resume can often be told through many different paradigms. I would be happy to have a discovery call with you to review your resume and highlight the threads of educator, innovator, and builder of values. Book a call with me here - https://calendly.com/resumecoachtamara/discovery-call

Selectively omit. Be sure your story and path is clear as day bc resumes that even get seen do not get much time. When you get a chance to tell you story (to a person), then you can fill in some of the details and detours. I recommend a Summary/Profile statement to give an intro to what one is about to read. Good luck!

The key usually when making a career transition is using not only your resume but also other tools like LinkedIn to showcase how your journey led you to the field/role you are currently entering. On your resume make sure your bullet points in your experience section speaks to transferrable/relevant skills that will be an asset in your new field. In interviews describe your movements as a strength, for instance; adaptability, flexibility, ramps up fast, not afraid to take on a challenge. On your linkedin also use the summary/about me section to explain how your past roles have helped prepare you for your next role in this new field/role. Hope this helps!
