Hello Ladies.
I'm trying to get back to work after taking about 15 years off after raising several children. My background is primarily in Accounting. I spent part of my time off getting my Bachelor's in Accounting and keeping my QuickBooks ProAdvisor skills very sharp. I'm planning on going through PathForward to help get a position to start working again, however I'm stuck at the beginning of how to get my resume into 21st century state! I have a Linkedin account but there's not much on it.
I could really use some help on how to get my resume pulled together and my online presence set up. Is there someone here who could help me? I would really appreciate it.
Times have definitely changed in the way that we look for work. I would be happy to have a discovery call with you to review your resume and discover what should be your next steps. Book a call with me here - https://calendly.com/resumecoachtamara/discovery-call
value your experience raising children, managing house, and any volunteer work as part of what you have to offer. Balance recency with relevance in the profile you present.
Hi, Robin! I know you posted here over 20 days ago, but I am just now seeing it! Were you able to get any answers? As a career coach, I'd be more than happy to chat with you to see how I might be able to help you. While I do offer programs and packages, the first 30-minute call is complimentary. Perhaps we could jump on a call together to talk through your specific situation...and if there is any advice that I can offer you in that moment, I'd be happy to! If interested, my email address is [email protected].
Hi there Robin! I'm happy that you are coming back to pursue your career. I've been there and I know how hard to create an impressive resume. I suggest that you ask help and guidance from professional writers like Resume Prime. They can customize your resume based on your preferences that will make you outstand from others. I hope this will help. Good luck!
Thank you so much Molly. I'm researching both Resume Prime and Resume Professional Writers. Resume Professional Writers is a lot more expensive though, and I'm not sure it's worth the additional expense (about $200).
Hello Robin! I tried before resume professional writers and yeah, you're right! It's more expensive compare to resume prime, but with the service they provided me, I think it's worth the price. They really build my resume well, and help me land a job. Also, you can look for some promo code, they offer coupon code discounts, and it's a big save for me. Hope you'll choose the one that could really help you!
I checked it and surprisingly both are very convenient. If you're worried about your budget, try to look for coupon deals from them. I used one before and save 15% of the total price. Then, if you want free tips and ideas about resume, interview and career advice, try to read their blogs. It's in their website too. Happy reading! :)
