How can we help BIPOC women in the poorest strata to recognize their skills, prepare to endeavor, and become independent?
I am very interested in this question. We have a circle of influence we need to take advantage of. Can we empower each of the young women in our circle to do the same to those in their own circle to scale this. Tall order but does it have any merit?
People who show up, are enthusiastic about their work, strive to do a good job (not simply just enough to get by), listen to instructions and directions will surely succeed and be noticed. People like that are a bright light in a dim sea of bad attitudes. So, my point is.... Have a good attitude and work diligently.
Great question! I'm not sure if this is a local or national organization, but I think Dress for Success is a great organization. They help disadvantaged and I believe low income women get the skills and even the attire to get better jobs.
