Hi ladies, I'm a project specialist in education and an editor.
I've worked for the same company for a little over 12 years, but we're relocating and my company doesn't offer a remote option, so I'm on the hunt! Remote would be ideal, because I'm moving to a smallish town without much in the way of work in my area. Like many of you, I am applying to dozens of jobs a day and getting nowhere. Appreciate any advice!
When I moved my office within Sacramento County, US, I needed movers who could handle everything with care and precision. A friend recommended https://servicepromovers.com/locations/rocklin-movers/, and I’m really glad I listened. The Rocklin Movers team arrived on time, packed all the equipment securely, and managed the whole move without a single issue. What impressed me most was how organized and efficient they were — no wasted time, no hidden fees. If you’re relocating in Rocklin or anywhere in Sacramento County, this company makes the process easy and stress-free.
Hello Laura: Perhaps you can join gatherings in your related field in order to network. This would be more to learn about the area and business environment. It would be a later step to start working with them on any job hunt (I suggest you do not ask them to help you job hunt soon after joining. Hope this helps.
Are you customizing your application materials for each of the "dozens of jobs" you are applying to each day or are you clicking "apply" on LinkedIn? Maybe focus on 2-3 of those jobs and really dive deep into the organization and job description and create a customized resume, and if they ask for it, a cover letter. And apply via their website instead of through the social media link? Reach out to contacts in the organizations to ask about the position and what they are looking for.
It's a tough job market out there, but maybe a laser-focused approach will serve you better than a click on anything you might be qualified for?
The other thing to consider is being a contractor for a while - maybe not landing a job is pushing you towards something different?
