Where are you stuck right now in your career change? Where do you most need support?
Where are you stuck right now in your career change? Where do you most need support?
Don't give up! You're certainly not alone. And your skills are absolutely marketable to many fields.
Before you do anything else, however you need to start at the beginning by getting clear on what it is you'd like to do in your next professional chapter and what are your transferrable skills - both hard/technical skills and "softer" skills.
And this work is hard to do alone. You need a community of like-minded women for support in order to get clarity, boost your confidence, and hold you accountable to yourself.
EvolveMe's Reinvention Collective is designed for women like you - professional women with lots of experience who are looking to make a career change or return to the workforce.
We have a proven method for guiding you to the other side of career reinvention in the company of other women. Hopefully when you see this note it won't be too late - the second cohort of our Reinvention Collective launches this Thursday, 10/22. There are still a couple more spots in that cohort. Learn more at www.EvolveMe.work.

Good luck!
I'm stuck figuring out what I want to do. (I know what I do not want.) And I'm stuck figuring out how 20-years of experience as a lawyer is not marketable to anyone or in any field.
I'm also most in need of the emotional and mental support aspect of navigating the change and figuring things out. No one around me seems to have anything to offer so I am relying on myself and after years of no interviews and rejection emails, I just really don't have the energy to keep searching or the hope that anything will work out. Ready to give up.
You mentioned you don't know what you want, but know what you DON'T want. What does that include?
I want a career that does NOT involve the emotional investment/toll of family dysfunction I see in my cases everyday. I do NOT want to be surrounded with the endless drama between "adults" in domestic/family law cases. And I do NOT want to be in a professional that continues to pile on requirements for your job (that I do anyway but because others do not, we all have more paperwork to do to prove you should get paid) for the same pay rate and have colleagues belittle your role in cases.
Good morning,
I’m stuck in finding/changing jobs in the federal government. I’ve made certs and received two phone calls. Those Agencies offered a much lower grade. In order to remain self sufficient it would be difficult to go backwards. I’d like to stay in EEO or branch out to HR and help the disabled and veteran population gain meaningful and substantial employment. I’d like to move back home by June 2021 to be near my parents.
