Career Changers!

Amy.

I have been a Registered Veterinary Technician for 23 years and I’m burnt out. It’s mentally and physically exhausting and I’m almost 50. I’m thinking of looking into the dental hygienist field. Good idea? Bad idea?

Hey Amy! Congrats to you on your conviction and courage in looking to make a move! There could be some great reasons to move to dental hygiene, as long as you know what you want to leave behind in the vet tech world. (You don't want to take burned out baggage with you from one industry to the new one!) Have you identified the reasons you burned out in the first place?
