I have worked in the financial, customer service and computer industry for over 25 years.
However, one of my favorite attributes about a position is the ability to find issues with software or finances. I’m extremely good at doing that and am often asked to help find find issues either in finances or software issues. I have an associates in business mgmt and one in computer info systems. Any suggestions on the type of position that will allow me to use this skill?
My current position (Implementation Consultant at Fast Enterprises) fits that description to a T. It's fixing issues in software used by government agencies, usually departments of revenue, so there are finance issues as well. They're not the perfect company for everyone and require relocation, but pay and benefits are great and they are hiring.
What about a consultant? I had a college professor who taught Leadership Management in Health Care, and he also worked as a consultant at a local major hospital. He said his job was to find ways to improve the system.
