Recruiter to Business Management or Human Resources?
So I've been doing in-house HR healthcare recruiting for a little over a year now. There are parts of this job I love - hiring people, HR functions, designing and implementing new processes, and flexibility. There are plenty parts that I dislike - constantly being on the phone all day, unrealistic goals, no upward mobility.
I have a background in program implementation and coordinating, employee development, and training. I really love managing, but there's no room for growth in my current company.
I'm preparing to apply to MBA programs next year, but many say they desire 2-5 years experience in business/management in lieu of an unrelated undergrad degree (mine is in behavior/social science).
How can I pivot out of recruiting into a true managerial/supervisor role right now as I am preparing for an MBA? Any certification recommendations? Job titles to look out for?
