Hi ladies,
I graduated from college with a bachelors in Marketing in May and I just completed a digital marketing internship. I am currently looking for remote jobs but I am having a hard time finding ones that are entry level. My resume is up to date and my portfolio has all of the projects i've done during the internship. I would love any advice on what keywords to use, marketing agencies to reach out to, or what companies are currently hiring.
Thank you!
Get help from your college's career center and get your favorite professors to help you as well. Even so, you may need to start jobs in person because it's easier to "show you the ropes" and help you develop basic competencies in person. Is there a reason why you have to work remotely? If not, consider starting in person or at least in a hybrid role.
As a higher ed professional who works in a career center, it’s best to find jobs in person as you get more experience learning that way. Then as you gain some years of experience maybe a remote option will be out there. Go to your Alma mater’s career center and attend job fairs and use their recruiting system. As you are considered early talent, many employers will be interested. Connect with your Alma mater’s alumni group as well and find a mentor of those who graduated before you with the same major/degree and see where they work. But focus on seeking work and being open to jobs of interest regardless of remote options. Be open to relocating. You are also competing with others who have experience. Connect yourself to those who have experience to help find a job.
