I am currently a mental health therapist (LCSW) and have been for the last 10 years.
I have my masters in social work. I am looking to transition into a different field of work entirely, as I have been feeling burnt out and having compassion fatigue for a while now. I've been looking at something with Learning and Development or Program Management. I very much don't want to start at the beginning again, and am wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or knows where to start when changing fields. I have experience coordinating and developing programs and onboarding new hires, in addition to planning events, workshops, and trainings. Thank you!
I have reinvented my career just shy of six times. You can too! What are you passionate about? What is stopping you from learning more about L&D? Go for it! Step in and see how it feels. Reach out to others that are in that field that might be able to support your growth or skills you need. Just keep trying new things and seeing how they feel. The only limitation that is being placed on you is from you! Go for it!
Hey! I don't have experience in those fields specifically, but found some helpful career change content on this site:
