I might be too late to this party.... but I looked into getting my masters as well for therapy and instead went the coaching route. Happy to share any insights I have with you! I did TONS of research and talked to many before I enrolled in my coaching school. Best decision I ever made!

Hi Jackie, I’m just the opposite. I’d like to become a therapist and a certified success coach, especially as it relates to employee relations and DEI. I have a Master’s in Mgmt & Leadership. I’m slated to complete my D&I certification at the end of the month. If there is just a certification or apprenticeship I could take vs. going back to school AGAIN, that’d be ideal.

Hi Shakera, I am a Therapist and also a Certified Success Coach. Usually you need a Masters degree or more as a Therapist. I suggest you do research, talk to a few college counselors to determine the best track for you as there are many types of Therapists including Social Work. You can also learn of the financial aid and funding in your local community colleges.

Hello. I found this link for the USA. https://positivepsychology.com/how-to-become-a-therapist/ I would also recommend going to your local community college and finding out if they have an adviser to get you started. Look for Facebook groups about therapists. And keep asking questions. You are the one that has the power to do this. And you can! Even if you take a couple classes a semester ...it soon adds up! My mom got her bachelors degree at aged 58 :)
