I really would like to become executive coach, but what do I need to do for this?
I have spent big part of my life in corporate world, have been acting as a mentor to junior staff and have shared career advice for difficult situations at work. I found it very gratifying and fulfilling. But how do I turn it into profession? I have seen that there are executive coaching certifications, are any better than others? How do I attract clients (I am not good with sales). Any companies who would hire me to do this?
Hi, have a look at coaching or executive coaching training that are certified by a coaching body (ICF, for example). In theory, you don't need any degree to coach as it's a not regulated industry. However, I still think it's important.
In terms of the business side, there are companies you could work for as a coach or you could start your own business. The market is really competitive at the moment and sales is a big part of it. That said, you can always learn or maybe partner with someone who has the skills you don't.
