I've been working in IT for the past 16 years and I am getting burnt out.
I was thinking of moving into the UX Design field. I have done a few graphics and built a website for my husband's business. I am 44 and eight weeks away from completing my Masters in Project Management.
Can anyone provide any insight to the UX UI Design field? Do you need to have schooling for it?
I am currently attending the NN/g UX Conference. It's an amazing experience and a great organization with tons of resources.

Hey love! I work with designers and agencies all the time (entrepreneur) - google has a certification someone on my team took and it's helped them get better at what they do but also land more freelance gigs. It's easily searchable and hope this helps!
Thanks and I will check out the certificate.
