Spent the last decade working toward becoming an architect, made a switch the last 10 months toward becoming a Software Engineer.
I am making a massive pivot from a somewhat niche/small industry in architecture to the massive, highly saturated world of tech as a Software Engineer. I have completed a bootcamp recently and I'm trying to keep furthering my skills.
I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has worked with or works as a Software Engineer... or in the tech world generally.
I work with Software Engineers. First, be willing to start at the bottom rung. Second, make sure the company has tuition reimbursement. That way you can advance your education at low cost. Third, be proactive taking and working assignments. Better to risk finishing a project early then have it cancelled rather than have your work the reason a project is late. Hope this helps.
All good pieces of advice, thank you!
