How would you like to job share? 1,2,3,4, or 5?

#ASK I'm working on our new Work Muse offering (coming early 2020!) and need your help! Which describes how you would want to job share best? 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 (edit: Yikes, forgot 5) 1. Share my full-time position with a partner 2. Get a promotion at my company to job share 3. Start my job share during maternity/parental leave 4. Make a career change (position and/or company) as a job share 5. Relaunch from a career break into a job share

1. Share my full-time position with a partner - I love my current job but would be delighted to have more time with my kids (or any time by myself).

Yes!! Time for you too. I even took acting and dance classes with toddlers AND my job when I job shared. That is one of the best ways to job share — a company will do almost anything to keep a great employee. Have you signed up for the Work Muse newsletter yet? Eepurl.com/blmKgz or at workmuse.com. Our all-in-one programming is launching soon and we’ll email specials to our subscribers first! Let me know if you have any questions :)

Thank you, Marne! This is very helpful and appreciated. It’s actually a great way to make a career change while minimizing possible ageism and bias.

For me, promotion related to job share (though I am already quite senior, so it would take a special company to accommodate) or take a career change to job share. I think the answers are highly dependent on your current life stage
