Creating the Freelance Career

What's been your most successful marketing technique?

Every day I am approached by marketers who want to use lead generation and funnels to "help me get new clients". But most of these marketers never take time to understand what I do and how I do my business. My best clients have come through relationship marketing. How have you been successful in getting clients or customers? What advice do you offer others in this group?

The best clients I’ve had came from authentic conversations, relationship marketing really does build trust that cold funnels can’t replicate. That said, I’ve experimented with automation too. I checked out some ClickFunnels reviews https://clickfunnels.pissedconsumer.com/review.html when I was curious about scaling and found it useful for specific launches, especially when paired with solid email copy. But no tool replaces understanding your audience. Start with genuine value, follow up with smart tools only when they enhance, not replace, your human connection. People buy from people, not pop-ups.

Focus on authentic relationships, networking, referrals, and value-driven content. Avoid cookie-cutter funnels; instead, nurture trust through personalized outreach and solving real problems. Quality over quantity wins every time.
