A client asked today how she can stand out to a company she's interested in.
(She's already been interviewed by their Global Hiring Manager and he's corresponded with her through e-mail since about possible positions within the company.) I came up with a creative idea to make her shine by sending them something original that will reflect the company's core values (innovation, playfulness, and passion) back to them.
How have you got a company or a client's attention and creatively shown yourself or your company off?
I love this recommendation! Did she send a portfolio?
This wasn't something I did, but I saw a woman who wanted to work at Spotify recreate her resume to match their layout and design. It worked!
It is so funny you mentioned that last part because I was talking to a close friend and colleague this morning about my client and he said hey she should make her resume the layout and design of the Spotify account. (As the company my client is talking to is Spotify. But they already have her CV so I suggested composing an original song and recording it in a music video format about the company and what she could bring as an employee.)
