Hello! I am a virtual assistant and owner of behindthescenesassistant.com My work consists of content creation, social media management, project management. I have been blessed with working with some really great clients and I love the variety of my day and the freedom this gives me. Cheers!
I am in contract management but also a fiber artist. I would like to move toward my artistic side and have an independent business utilizing my creativity in some way through pattern creation, teaching, fabric design or other means. Learning possibilities now.
oh i just asked you the question of what you didin another thread. :) Do you sell your fiber art on any platforms right now?
Are you a member of the Craft Industry Alliance? If not, check it out. It would be very useful to you as a resource.
Awesome! I'm CEO of Prowess Project. We help women return to work or pivot in their careers and match them with jobs based on skills & EQ compatibility: www.prowessproject.com
That sounds very interesting, Ashley.
I'm a Marketing Strategist and I love helping solopreneurs save time and energy by working smarter and not harder on their digital marketing - which can include social media, email marketing, blogging, websites and more. I help my clients achieve positive lasting success in their business by streamlining their efforts and creating a strategy to provide direction and focus. Rather than doing the work for them, I act as a guide - providing strategic recommendations and accountability.
Kristi, what's your favorite social media scheduling software?
Tough question! My personal favorite that I've used is HubSpot - but it's a powerful tool that many don't need all the bells and whistles of since it's a full marketing software platform and not just a social scheduler.
I recently purchased a course - Proofread Anywhere -- after the guidance and recommendation of several people I trusted. My family and I would very much like to relocate elsewhere in the country, and one of the possibilities discussed was remote work. I am autistic and heavily detail-oriented. Currently I am working in a L1 IT Customer Support position, and after a decade plus in the field, held back by impostor syndrome and lack of interest in any further specialization in the field, I am tired. I bought the proofreading course with the idea of completing it and starting a side gig. I used to run a (very very small) business tutoring after several years teaching, but I couldn't get it off the ground. Both my Day Job and tutoring were location dependent - proofreading and editing is not, so I'm looking to gradually ease into it as a side gig for extra income. When the work is flowing well enough, I'll consider making it my full-time business. I enjoy the work and love the flexibility of it. Soul has been giving me a Very Big Nudge about it, and when Soul speaks, I have learned to listen. I have a dear friend who manages his own business refurbishing and reselling computers and does fairly well at it. Hoping to follow his example.
That's wonderful, Maya. Proofreading and copyediting are great things to get into as you can set your own hours and work from wherever you have internet access. UCLA's extension has a great online copyediting course and the instructor of it has given my clients who have taken it work since she works for a major publishing house--in case you decide on some additional "schooling".
It seems that no one wants to go first to talk about what they do. So I'll go first and let you know what I do by way of this article about me that was published yesterday https://billionsuccess.com/jill-l-ferguson/

This is a great idea! Would also like to hear why everyone has joined FGB. I prefer to be anonymous for now but will speak up when others introduce themselves!
You didn't want to get the ball rolling? :)
