Creating the Freelance Career

This is the cover of my newest book that is coming out from Melbourne University Press in July. I am putting it here as a reminder that you never know where work (and enjoyable work at that) will come from. Robyn, my co-author, posted in a online group we belong to asking if anyone had any experience working with a co-author. I responded saying I had done it often and would be happy to discuss my experiences. That conversation led to her asking me if I want to join her journey of a book she had been working on for years. She needed help and another set of eyes on the material, and she wasn't sure how the publishing process worked. We teamed up, and this fabulous book honoring the work of women in Australia's environmental movement is the result. Plus, we found friendship in the process and have planned future collaborations.
