Meeting new people

I am shy and not able to clearly communicate

I am adult but still find it difficult to talk and take my feelings to them. even with usual friend circle I have less to say. I want to b humurious but I couldn't. I overthink and overlook many points. This all leads to falling in the net of endless spirals. oh ! Goshh. It frustates me sometimes. Any tips from your side to safely and clearly move away from this habit. Love to hear your tips.

I hear you Prezi. I'm an analytical person. I read people and sometimes I can't help but get in my own head. I also will become mentally paralyzed overthinking how to word something. My advice? Slow down. Get out of your head. Focus on the person talking and what they're saying. It takes practice. It is frustrating and I will be the first to admit it. There's a book by Oren Jay Sofer & Joseph Goldstein called "Say What You Mean" and I found it insightful. I looked into articles on Psychologytoday.com for you, and I thought this was a good one by John Amodeo: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/intimacy-path-toward-spirituality/201511/the-neglected-art-receiving
