An email from my hair salon...
I'm sure a few of you have gotten this email - the salon owners are setting up a fund for their employees during the shutdown. I understand (and have contributed to) restaurant workers, but their revenue isn't as consistent as a salon. For ex., I pay $90 for color every 3-4 wks, $75 for cut every 3 months, and tip everyone 20% from colorist to shampoo girl. Am I a total Scrooge that the owners should pay their employees first before reaching out to customers? (Then again, maybe they have.) Are the employees on salary, or commission? Any hairdressers or colorists, please help me understand. Thanks, and man, my hair looks SO bad right now.
