Tips for staying focused during high-stress times

I'd love to hear how everyone is staying focused and controlling their wandering thoughts during these high-stress times. Personally, I'm struggling mightily, so am trying to be kind to myself and allowing myself to occasionally let my mind wander between tasks.

I'm listening to calming music while working and also making sure to get at least 20 mins of exercise of some sort to access those positive endorphins. Getting outside for a bit is always very centering and restorative as well.

As an artist, I often spend MUCH more than 25 minutes while I'm in the flow-- hours and hours, and I don't even notice the time. I guess it depends on what you are working on, and if I were having to read my insurance policy, 25 minutes would be entirely too long! In Charlotte, NC, there's a beautiful sculpture downtown called the "Pomodoro Disk". I'll have to check this out.

Zoe - that is the best way to work because it makes us the most productive and maximizes our prefrontal cortexes capabilities!

I love the Pomodoro method! You work uninterrupted (no distractions) on one task for 25 minutes at a time and take short breaks in between. It's really boosted my productivity - the 25 minutes are manageable, and time flies by. The timer site I use has more info: https://tomato-timer.com/
