Navigating The New Normal

The Unknown

As a woman who has struggled with major panic and depression my entire life, what I find so anxiety inducing about the COVID-19 situation is the unknown. Yes, I'm afraid of the illness for myself and everyone. But I'm not anxious about the disease. I'm anxious about the next few months in general. All we can do is sit and wait. And then wait some more. Not knowing when life will get back to "normal" has sent me into daily panic attacks. It feels like being trapped in purgatory. How is everyone else coping with the unknown and the waiting?

You're not alone! I try to meditate for 10 minutes each more and set a daily routine to keep me very busy. These simple techniques have really helped drastically for me and I hope myself and other advice helps you as well!
