Write emails that people want to read!
Check this out! This is so important to become powerful communicators! Do this and it will be a game-changer! Most important, be brief and learn to discern when a “visit” is more appropriate than an email. After you meet, you can follow up with an email & highlights! No one can stand 1,2,3 page emails—in fact, everyone who has done it in my previous companies had a poor reputation for doing so.

This was a great read. And a good reminder to keep us away from bad habits. Thanks!

Learned this the hard way!
Many of us have Mysarona966! We sometimes have the best intentions and it back fires. I do agree that there are work environments where we need to "CYA" so that's why I recommend that after a very important meeting, we send out the "Highlights" with key decisions and who's supposed to deliver what by when, if that's appropriate--meaning that you're the one responsible for doing that. Other times, if someone gives you something to do by a certain time, you can circle back with confirming that I'll be doing XYZ by this "date." This is another way to "validate" that we're all on the same page.. Thanks for your comment!
