Growing The Network
I am practicing growing my LinkedIn network by reaching out to people working in my department at companies I would love to work for. The is goal is 50 messages (and new connections) by the end of next week. I am personalizing them to each person asking a question pertaining to them specifically. It's difficult, but exhilarating.
I have received many positive responses and I just had an information interview with someone at one of those companies. This is not my forte, so I am surprised how much enjoyment I am getting out of this kind of networking, which I wanted to share if any of you aren't feeling that fearless.

This is amazing. And so important especially right now.
Not only are you navigating forward movement outside of your comfort zone, you are getting up every day with focus and a purpose and expanding your network. Definitely not easy to do. I admit I have been doing this in other ways (like through Lunchclub) because I am concerned that recruiters and placement professionals are getting bombarded right now but it sounds like it is working for you. So thank you for the inspiration!

Glad your diligent effort has been rewarded! Your particular area, supply chain efficiency and optimization, is in demand during the pandemic and recovery, and is urgently needed thereafter if a leader is serious about sustainability.
