Changing my idea about what kind of business I want to start
That happened to me too many times... In fact it took over the best of my first 2 years as a coach. I would always find something that would fill me with enthusiasm only to find myself revisiting my choice and feeling disappointed 2 weeks later.
Not wrong but not pleasant. In the end you are running a business not a hobby center... So I made a point to include that in my business coaching later on. You need to learn how to pick the best one now and take imperfect action. And here is where a business plan comes in handy: plan for your next idea in the second phase of the business and collect material on the way so you don't let it go to waste. This way you can focus on the current project and be at peace that there is room for more soon.
In case you started your business already, how many times have you changed your niche/ product/ offer/ ideal customer profile?
OMG, this really hit home. I remember having a moment of realization after starting a side hustle in 2016. After I started, I realized I was more excited about the content and marketing aspect of things that I wasn't as focused as I needed to be on face-to-face sales.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one ;)
