Mondays are the worst.
It's Tuesday and I still feel practically the same as yesterday. My work life has not been one at all. I've been searching high and low for a decent job for myself. The thing is I'm overly picky on where to work? I always feel like I hugely fail at my interviews. Is there another way to turn from all of this?
You don't say if you are looking to get out of retail or have already. If you are looking to pivot (change) positions then have a trusted friend help you define and quantify soft skills. Show increases (or with this economy how you minimized losses). Hope this helps and keep us up to date.
Hi, you need to give yourself some grace. Would it help if I said it is them not you? (smile). I am very selective on employers too. You don't want to take any job and find yourself miserable once again. Do you have friends who will help you with mock interviews and provide feedback? Take a step at a time and network. I found most of my jobs through other people. Good luck and keep your head up!
I agree with the other commenter! Networking opportunities may be the best way for you to continue your search. This article posted by FGB may help: https://fairygodboss.com/articles/looking-to-change-career-paths
