Former employer asking for help
Need some guidance... my former employer, who terminated me for having an ADA and FMLA qualified illness because they didn’t want to accommodate me, just texted me for assistance with A/P. Apparently , no one paid the electric bill. I provided him the information and he thanked me. I want to reply to never, ever contact me again. I’m trying to recover from my last ME/CFS crash and need to move on. Should I ignore this disturbance and pray there’s not another, or I can I tell them, politely, to figure it out themselves. I’m working on positive thinking, but I feel like I should stand up for myself, for which I have no experience. Aloha.
Block him . Apparently they threw you to curse. And it’s illegal to fire cause extreme depression is disability .
I had similar ex boss contact . He maybe hitting on you now that you are out of professional circle . If he is asking personal questions it is proof for harassment. I would politely ask him not to contact as you no longer have professional position and not liable for anything in that work place . If you continue to help you can be hold reliable for any advice you email ; it is a verbal contract . Good luck

Thanks. That’s what I did...didn’t think about the bill. Excellent suggestion. The employer was always paying himself a consultation fee for being no help whatsoever.
If they reach out, again, I would kindly remind them that you no longer work there, and they need to figure it out. Alternatively, respond, and then send them a bill for your consulting time.
Thanks, that’s what I’ve done. If they continue, which I’m sure they will, I’ll take action then.
Honestly, I would just ignore it. It still sends a message letting them know that you aren't interested in helping them.
