Worst part of burnout
What's THE worst thing about being burnt out?
I'm feeling burned out on my job search right now and I swear it's like my brain power is mostly gone. I'm not remembering everything I think I should and I'm losing my motivation to do the things I want to do like studying new skills because it seems like it's not worth it. My husband says my memory is fine, but sometimes I wonder. I'm not depressed as I still get up, shower, and do other daily tasks -- it's just the job search part of my life.
You can't untoast bread.
Ha, so true!
Guilt. Guilt over considering leaving, guilt over stopping to take care of yourself--potentially bypassing requests from others.
I get physically sick; fatiqued, headaches, and digestive problems.
Feeling like you are in a pit and there is no way out. And nothing makes it better.
Constantly feeling drained. Also, I'm a creative thinker and when I'm experiencing burnout, my creativity goes out the window.
Yes! I often call this out as a burnout symptom - even for people who aren't "traditionally" creative. Creativity can include how you solve problems, plan your day's logistics, communicate with others... and when we're fried, all of that can feel like you're having to wade through mud
I feel the same way @BossBrandy
