Burnout Survival

Hello!

I'm hosting an email mini-series on Managing the A**holes You Work With (and for! and those you lead!). DM your email if you'd like to join :)   This week, we’re focusing on what can feel like a really vulnerable dynamic - the assholes you work FOR.  What are you supposed to do when the person signing your paycheck and doing your performance reviews is making your life miserable?  You know you’re working for one when…  ... They’re impeding or distracting you from your goals and success ... The things they do and say make you want to crawl out of your skin and, or cry ... Nothing you do seems like enough, even if you do what they say they want ... Their behavior is not predictable or not understandable ... You don’t know what else to do

It can feel lonely. If you are a director, manager, or team leader you can't talk to your peers at work for fear of being seen as weak. You can't talk with your boss or leadership board because you ...Read more
