Shoes....yep shoes

When was the last time you wore shoes for more than something like dog walks or exercising? For me, it's been at least 2 months. :)-

I wear them whenever I pick up supplies for my business, but even then, they're Birkenstocks. Shoes are overrated. :)

Haha! I haven't worn dress shoes since early March, right before lockdown. I also haven't worn my nice clothes!

I'm really not planning on ever putting uncomfortable shoes back on again. One of the major learnings from this whole quarantine thing should be that we don't need to risk our feet and ankles to be incredibly productive humans. ;) I'll be replacing my shoe wardrobe with cute AND comfy options from here on out!

I have been wearing flip flops since March, I have bad feet so I need to wear something but I have no plans to retire them anytime soon. I did wear real shoes for a job interview recently and it was a quick switch one I was back in the car! I live in New England so it will be harder this winter!

I went out to dinner last weekend with my spouse and wore some shoes I would have previously described as fun, versatile, typical of something I might wear in our business casual office during the summer. By the time I got home, my feet were killing me! We are working from home for the remainder of 2020, but I should probably make myself wear real shoes for a few hours a week in preparation for back to the office next year..

About this group

We went to college in the 90s, started our careers when cell phones were a luxury that came with a shoulder bag and fax machines were the newest tech. Here we are now, in what should be the best years of our career facing an ever changing work culture that sees established Boomers still running the show with Millennials expecting to be the next leaders. Meanwhile we just want to take a vacation, make sure the kids get to soccer practice and fund our 401k.
